HI, all alumni:

Zhongda President Delegation, Zhongda Alumni Delegation, and Zhongda eMBA Delegation visited Boston area from 5/29/05 to 5/31/05. The following is the event summary of their visit.

        1        Zhongda and Zhong_Shang_Yi alumni association co-hosted a welcome banquet for Zhongda 3 delegations at China Pearl Restaurant (Woburn) on 5/29. There were about 70 local alumni participated the banquet. Dr. Gao
Songping, the president of Zhongda NE alumni association, chaired the welcome banquet. Dr. Lu Bao, the president of Zhong_Shan_Yi Boston alumni association, gave a welcome address on behalf of all alumni. Zhongda President Huang Daren was invited to give a cordial speech during the banquet. Vice president Yan Quangmei, vice president Xu Lingsheng, and Professor Xu Anlong, the president of Life and Science Institute, also gave the brief introductions of recent research and development on various areas in Zhongda respectively. During the banquet, a lot of alumni talked to Zhongda delegations, exchanged the ideas, and discussed the possible opportunities of future cooperation.
        2        Dr. Yuan Minsheng invited President Huang Da Ren to visit the Joslin Diabetes center (Harvard) and very losely discussed the possible cooperation in the future.
        3        Shallwei Sun et al met with Professor Xu An Long, the President of Life and Science Institute, and had a very good discussion on the possible joined research project with Zhongda.
        4        MIT professor Ding Shao Zhong invited Zhongda delegation to visit his lab and hosted the welcome dinner on 5/30.
        5        Dr. Songping Gao coordinated a seminar for Zhongda eMBA Delegation. Professor Liu Reiming (Umass) gave a topic entitled "Customer Relationship Management---Recent Development and Strategic Implications" in the seminar. The feedback from eMBA delegation is very positive and active. We also talked over the possible relationship development on this field. The delegation also had a campus visit after the seminar.
        6        Many alumni individually invited the delegation members to have city tour or home visit in the past two days.

I believe Zhongda 3 delegations felt pretty satisfactory on their visit at Boston this time; and our work and arrangement have been highly evaluated.
